Gabriel Parshall

Gabriel Parshall currently serves as the Director of Formative Assessment at Houston ISD, a position held since July 2017, and previously held roles including Senior Manager and Manager of Student Assessment. Gabriel oversees formative assessment platforms that administer over 4 million assessments annually and is responsible for promoting effective assessment literacy practices across the district. Prior to this role, Gabriel worked at Alief ISD from July 2012 to July 2017, progressing from Instructional Specialist to Instructional Technology Specialist and managing the Data Driven Instructional Specialist program. Gabriel began a career in education at Humble ISD as a Special Education Teacher from July 2009 to July 2012 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Math from the University of Houston in 2009.
