Houston Zoo
Kendra Bauer is a seasoned veterinary professional with significant experience in zoo medicine. Currently serving as a Staff Veterinarian at Houston Zoo since August 2018, Kendra has also held roles as a Veterinary Resident at Smithsonian National Zoological Park from July 2015 to July 2018 and as an Intern Veterinarian at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium from July 2014 to June 2015. Earlier professional development included a Rotating Medicine and Surgery Internship at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center from June 2013 to June 2014. Educationally, Kendra holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2009 - 2013) and a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University (2005 - 2009).
