Rupert Whicker

Rupert Whicker is a seasoned professional in the reinsurance industry with extensive experience in facultative reinsurance broking and management. Currently serving as Managing Director at Howden Re since November 2018, Rupert specializes in facultative reinsurance, MGA capitalisation and management, as well as captive advisory and placement solutions. Prior to this role, Rupert held the position of Managing Director at JLT Re, overseeing facultative reinsurance broking, and worked at Aon Benfield as a facultative broker, focusing on Australian-based and multi-national insurer cedants. Rupert's career began at Marsh as an Assistant Vice President, starting as a junior Marine Hull broker, and included a significant stint in New York City. Rupert also gained early experience as a CQC tester at Electronic Arts. Academically, Rupert holds a BA Hons in French with Spanish from Newcastle University and a BA Hons in French from The University of London Institute in Paris.
