Enrique Lores is the President and CEO of HP Inc., a technology company that believes one thoughtful idea has the power to change the world. Enrique is an accomplished, multi-faceted leader. He became CEO in November 2019 and is driving a bold strategy to advance HP’s leadership in Personal Systems and Printing, disrupt industrial sectors through innovative HP solutions, and transform the way the company operates to better serve its customers.
During his more than 30-year career at HP, Enrique has held senior leadership positions spanning HP’s Personal Systems, Print, Industrial, and Services businesses across country, region, and worldwide roles.
As President of the company’s $20 billion Imaging, Printing, & Solutions business, he consistently outperformed the company’s peer set with a focus on differentiated innovation, business model evolution, and strategic M&A – including the company’s acquisition of Samsung’s printer business in 2017.
He was a key architect of the separation of Hewlett-Packard Company in 2015, one of the largest and most complex corporate separations in business history, and he successfully led the Separation Management Office. He was instrumental in transforming HP’s cost structure while simplifying the organization and creating the capacity to invest in innovation to drive profitable top and bottom-line growth.
Other previous leadership roles include GM of HP’s commercial PC business, SVP of worldwide customer support and services, and SVP of worldwide sales and solutions, among others.
Enrique is deeply rooted in HP values and committed to building a world where innovation drives extraordinary contributions to humanity. He is a fierce advocate of the company’s Sustainable Impact strategy, aligning business and societal needs to positively impact people, the planet, and communities around the world.
Enrique began his career as an HP intern, earning his degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and his MBA from Esade Business School. He is a passionate, purpose-driven leader who believes in building strong teams and empowering people. Enrique serves on the Board of Directors for PayPal and on the International Advisory Boards of the Atlantic Council, ESADE Business School, San Telmo Business School, and Silicon Valley Leadership Group. He is also a member of the Business Roundtable, the Technology CEO Council, the Welcome.US CEO Council, and the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council and Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders.

HP was founded in 1939 by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard in Palo Alto where their headquarters still operate today. They bonded over the American culture of sound film and later went on to further their understanding in electrical engineering. Built in their garages, an Oscillator was made to test sound equipment and then went on to prepare movie theaters for the screening of popular Disney movie, Fantasia. Today, roughly 80 years later, they provide various technology solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, enterprises, government, and health and education sectors. Within their personal systems category, they sell products such as laptops, desktops, gaming PC's, business laptops, business desktops, and workstations. Their printers and 3D printing solutions group offers products such as home printers, home office & business printers, enterprise printers, scanners, managed print services, and large-format printers. Additional accessories include mice, keyboards, webcams, docks & hubs, bags, and many others.
