Bret Collazzi

Bret Collazzi is a seasoned professional in real estate and economic development, currently serving as a Partner and Principal at HR&A Advisors since June 2013. Specializing in neighborhood revitalization strategy, real estate advisory services, and urban tech innovation, notable projects include developing a public investment strategy to support mixed-income housing and industry growth in the Lower Concourse area of the South Bronx. Prior to this, Collazzi was the Deputy Chief of Staff for New York City Council Member James Vacca from January 2008 to June 2011, focusing on policy related to land use, housing, and small business development. Earlier experience includes serving as Managing Editor of the Bronx Times Reporter from June 2005 to December 2007, where coverage encompassed economic trends and housing development in the Bronx. Collazzi holds an MBA in Sustainable Global Enterprise and Entrepreneurship from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Metropolitan Studies from New York University.
