David has previously led the BBV Integrated Project Team as Project Client since April 2021, and has over 30 years’ major programme experience both in the UK and overseas, most notably on projects including HS1, Al Reem Island, London 2012, Hinkley Point C and Heathrow Airport.
David’s appointment comes at a critical time for Civils Delivery during its peak years of construction of Phase One. As Civils Delivery Director, David will be accountable for delivering the civils infrastructure of the railway, ready for integration with rail systems and stations, and effectively working with the main works civils contractors to successfully deliver on budget and to schedule.
His focus is on efficient delivery and securing the overall programme objectives of safe construction, with milestones secured at the correct cost.
