Aileen Taylor was appointed Group Company Secretary and Chief Governance Officer of HSBC Holdings plc with effect from 4 November 2019. She is also a member of the bank‘s Group Executive Committee.
Aileen joined HSBC from the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS), where she was appointed Group Secretary in 2010 and most recently held the position of Chief Governance and Regulatory Officer and Board Counsel. A qualified lawyer, she spent 19 years at RBS undertaking roles across Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance.
Aileen is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and a member of the European Corporate Governance Council and the GC100. She is also a member of the Financial Conduct Authority‘s Listing Authority Advisory Panel.
