Dr. Rainer Waldschmidt, natural scientist and business economist (MBA), has worked in the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development since 2002 after international positions in research and industry. In July 2011 he became managing director of the state-owned business development company HA Hessen Agentur GmbH. Since October 2012 he has also headed its subsidiary Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH.
