Gentjan Heqimi, P.E., PTOE, PTP has a diverse work experience spanning from 2010 to the present. Gentjan began their career as a Development Assistant/Project Manager at Community Housing Network, Inc. in May 2010, where they worked until December 2012. Gentjan then transitioned to the role of Housing Development Analyst at the same company, where they worked until September 2014. After that, Gentjan worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University from August 2014 to December 2016. In January 2017, they joined Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. as a Graduate Engineer, eventually moving up to the position of Staff Engineer in June 2019. Currently, Gentjan holds the role of Project Engineer at the same company, which they began in February 2023.

Gentjan Heqimi, P.E., PTOE, PTP, has a strong education background in civil engineering and urban and regional planning. Gentjan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Gentjan then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the same university, completing their studies between 2010 and 2012. Continuously working towards expanding their knowledge and expertise, Gentjan pursued a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, completing this program between 2014 and 2016.

In addition to their educational accomplishments, Gentjan Heqimi has also obtained several professional certifications. Gentjan is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Michigan, having received this certification in May 2019. Gentjan is also a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), awarded by the Transportation Professional Certification Board Inc in March 2020. Furthermore, they have obtained a certification as a Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) from the Transportation Professional Certification Board Inc in 2018. As part of their professional development, they have also completed a course on Road Safety Audits/Assessments offered by the FHWA National Highway Institute in 2017.
