Steve Hayes

Steve Hayes is an accomplished marketing executive with extensive experience in the mining and metals industries. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Marketing at Hudbay Minerals Inc. since May 2021, Hayes previously held roles including Director of Marketing at the same company and President of Shanbrook Enterprises, a commercial consulting firm tailored to the base and precious metals sectors. Hayes also held leadership positions at Full Metal Zinc as President and CEO, and at Breakwater Resources as Chief Commercial Officer, where responsibilities included overseeing global marketing operations with substantial annual sales. Hayes began a career at Noranda Sales Corporation as a Marketing Assistant, providing foundational experience in administration and logistics. An alumnus of Western University, Hayes holds an Honours Business Administration degree.
