With a background in medicine, Geissbuhler is the Director of teaching and research, Director of the Innovation Center at HUG - Hopitaux Universitaires de Genève, and Chief-physician of the divisions of eHealth, Telemedicine, and medical informatics. Additionally, Antoine serves as the Director of RAFT distance education and telemedicine network in Africa. Geissbuhler has a history of leadership roles in various international medical organizations and foundations, including the Health On the Net Foundation and the International Medical Informatics Association.
