Remy Gerbay

Remy Gerbay serves as the Head of Investor-State Arbitration and Partner at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, specializing in representing companies, governments, and individuals in international disputes, while also acting as an arbitrator. With extensive experience in international arbitration, Gerbay holds a permanent academic post as Co-Director of the distance learning LLM in international dispute resolution at Queen Mary University of London, alongside roles as a permanent lecturer and adjunct academic member of the School of International Arbitration. Prior experience includes practicing as an international disputes lawyer in London and Washington from 2005 to 2017, co-heading the arbitration team at the London Court of International Arbitration, and providing legal consultancy at the United Nations. Gerbay's academic credentials include a PhD from Queen Mary University of London, an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Master's in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
