Benjamin Orbon has diversified work experience in various companies. Benjamin started as a Laboratory Intern at the City of Asheville in 2008, where they collected and tested water samples. In 2010, as an Undergraduate Researcher at North Carolina State University, they conducted computational and wet bench biophysical chemistry on an enzyme. From 2011 to 2015, Benjamin worked as a Biopharm Development Engineer at Biogen Idec. There, they specialized in pharmaceutical cell culture development and technology development. Later, in 2015, they joined Humacyte, where they worked in various roles such as Process Development Engineer and Technical Engineering Lead. As a part of their job, they were responsible for developing commercial processes, engineering commercial equipment, and applying engineering knowledge to commercialization.
Benjamin Orbon attended North Carolina State University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry.
