Mauricio Berdugo MD MPH

Mauricio Berdugo, MD, MPH has extensive work experience in medical affairs, clinical research, and general medical practice. Mauricio currently works as Sr. Director of Medical Affairs at Humacyte, and previously worked as Director of Medical Affairs at the same company and as Director of Global Scientific & Medical Affairs at bioMérieux. Before that, they worked as an Associate Director in medical affairs and clinical development at Boehringer Ingelheim and as a Clinical Enrollment Manager at PAREXEL. Mauricio earlier had roles at various medical centers and research organizations, including Salt Lake Orthopaedic Clinic, St. Francis Sleep, Allergy, and Lung Institute, and University of Utah. Mauricio Berdugo's work has focused on respiratory disease, orthopaedic spine surgery, atrial fibrillation, HIV/AIDS, and urgent care.

Dr. Mauricio Berdugo earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador in 2002. Over a decade later, from 2012 to 2014, they attended Purdue University Global (formerly Kaplan University) and earned a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Healthcare Administration/Policy.
