Marisa Schatz

Marisa Schatz is an experienced professional in animal welfare and grassroots engagement, currently serving as Program Manager for the State Policy Volunteer Program at The Humane Society of the United States since September 2014. In this role, Marisa manages Humane Policy Volunteer Leaders, focusing on advancing state and local animal protection policies and collaborating with team members to implement legislative strategies. Previous positions within the organization include roles in outreach and program development, enhancing volunteer mobilization. Prior to The Humane Society, Marisa was General Manager at DogCentric, Inc., overseeing operations and employee management for a dog walking company. Marisa holds a B.S. in Psychology, cum laude, from Northeastern University.
