Alec Shafer

Alec Shafer is a Senior Data Scientist at NiSource, with experience in developing a leak forecasting tool using Python and Tableau, as well as creating an automation process for field productivity calculations. Previously, as a Change Management Data Analyst, Alec enforced best practices in data analytics, developed a Tableau dashboard for enterprise-wide change metrics, and contributed to data strategy formulation for HR. Alec's role as a Business Analytics Analyst included participation in a data quality project and advanced modeling to enhance customer satisfaction. Early experience includes a Business Analytics Internship focused on data mining techniques and dashboard creation, as well as a Business Intelligence Internship that involved report creation and training on new BI tools. Alec holds a Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics from The Ohio State University.
