Ian Smith

Ian Smith is a seasoned operations improvement and innovation leader with extensive experience in the chemical and materials industries. Currently serving as Senior Operations Improvement Manager at Huntsman Corporation since August 2023, Ian previously held the position of Color Pigments Innovation Director at Venator Materials Plc from April 2022 to August 2023. Ian's career at Huntsman Corporation includes roles as Color Pigments R&D Manager and Knowledge Development Manager - Process R&D from May 2015 to April 2022. Starting at Huntsman Pigments in 2008, Ian progressed from Senior Manufacturing Intelligence Expert to Manufacturing Planning Manager. Ian's early career included a Six Sigma Master Black Belt role at Huntsman Tioxide from May 2005 to 2008. Ian holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, obtained between 1991 and 1995.
