Gordian von Schoening has a diverse work experience in the motorsport industry. Gordian currently holds the position of Head of Development Racecar at HWA AG since November 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Director of the Business Unit Sport and Engineering at DTM (ITR e.V.) from February 2019 to November 2020. Before that, they worked at BMW Motorsport, where they held the roles of Projektleiter Entwicklung DTM and Chief Design Engineer DTM from May 2018 to January 2019 and October 2016 to January 2019, respectively. Gordian also has several years of experience at HWA AG, where they worked in various roles including Manager Design on-Track, Team Leader Vehicle Development, and Vehicle Development from January 2015 to October 2016, September 2012 to December 2014, and September 2007 to September 2012, respectively. Additionally, they worked at Mercedes Benz HPE as part of the Engine Development/Evaluation team from March 2006 to August 2007. Gordian started their career as a Co Founder at PPH Motoring from January 2002 to June 2007.
Gordian von Schoening attended Hamburg University of Applied Sciences from 2001 to 2006, where they pursued a diploma in automotive engineering with a focus on power train and chassis.
