Josh Goode has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Josh began their career as an Environmental Analyst at Beam, Longest and Neff, LLC, where they worked on transportation projects for the Indiana Department of Transportation. Josh then served as an Environmental Manager for the US Department of Defense, managing environmental compliance for Army Reserve Command facilities in Indiana and Michigan.
In 1996, Josh joined the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns as an Environmental Circuit Rider, establishing partnerships and providing regulatory compliance consultation for municipalities and small businesses. Josh later contracted with the City of Indianapolis as an Environmental Policy Consultant and Watershed Coordinator.
In 1997, Josh founded their own company, Goode & Associates, Inc., specializing in land use planning, environmental policy, and water quality monitoring. Josh sold the firm in 2003 and joined Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. as the Director of Business Development for their Indiana offices. During this time, they also served as a Senior Resource Planner and testified on environmental policy as a representative of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns.
Josh then became the General Manager of the Indiana Office at EMH&T, where they led a team of engineers, designers, surveyors, and landscape architects. Josh was responsible for P&L management, practice and client diversification, strategic planning, and overall office administration.
Prior to their current position, Josh served in various roles at URS Corporation, including Vice President and Indiana Branch Office Manager. Josh was responsible for strategic planning, business development, and overall management of the office, which offered a wide range of services in the A&E industry. Josh also facilitated the office's transition to AECOM and retained the position of Water Operations and Business Development Lead.
Currently, Josh serves as the Vice President of Business Development at HWC Engineering, where they continue to utilize their expertise in strategic planning and business development to drive growth and success for the company.
Josh Goode attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science and Management. Additionally, they received extensive training in Department of Defense and Environmental Compliance programs at the US Army Logistics Management College.
