Stacey Johnson currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Corporate Compliance at Hy-Vee, Inc., a position held since September 2020, after previously serving as Vice President of Government Relations. Prior to Hy-Vee, Stacey Johnson worked at John Deere from December 2006 to August 2020 as Director of John Deere Financial Public Affairs, where responsibilities included directing public policy development and collaborating with senior management. Earlier experience includes serving as President of the Iowa Taxpayers Association from March 2002 to December 2006, overseeing all aspects of the trade association, and as a Research Analyst for the State of Iowa Senate Republican Caucus Staff from August 1999 to March 2002. Stacey Johnson earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Drake University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa.

Today' employee-owned Hy-Vee chain operates over 230 grocery stores and drugstores in Illinois, Iowa (home to approximately half of the company's stores), Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota.
