Oh-Kyong Kwon serves as a HYU Distinguished Professor and Provost at Hanyang University since September 1992. Kwon is the President of The National Academy of Engineering of Korea, holding various leadership roles including Executive Vice President and Vice President since January 2011. Kwon has been a Board Member at Samsung SDI since 2020 and a Technical Advisor at LG Display since 2007, focusing on Display Technologies such as OLED, LCD, and Touch Screens. In addition, Kwon served as Past President of the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences from January 2019 to December 2021, and held technical advisory positions at LG Electronics, Silicon Mitus, and SK hynix, among others. Kwon's academic background includes a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree from Stanford University in Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology and System-Level Integration, along with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hanyang University.
