Hydro-Québec
Claude Séguin is the current director at Hydro-Québec. Prior to this, they held various positions at different companies including Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Exfo Inc., and Groupe CGI. Claude has also been involved with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Teleglobe. From 1987 to 1992, they were a sous-ministre at the Ministère des Finances.

It was established by the Government of Quebec in 1944 from the expropriation of private firms. Hydro-Québec generates, transports and distributes electricity. It essentially exploits renewable energies, more particularly hydroelectricity. It also does research in energy-related fields and is actively interested in energy efficiency. In addition, it develops the technologies resulting from its research.
