Susanne Sowers is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development, project management, and process improvement. Currently serving as Global Director of R&D Processes at Hyperion Materials & Technologies since 2018, Susanne leads governance processes and drives Lean initiatives to enhance project delivery and team capabilities. Prior roles include PMO Manager and R&D Technology Manager at Sandvik Hyperion, where Susanne established a comprehensive project management system and led product development efforts, respectively. Susanne's career also features senior development engineering positions at DIAMOND INNOVATIONS, INC., NewPage Corporation, and MeadWestvaco, focusing on innovative product and process designs. Susanne holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College.
