Roland Adams gained a degree in psychology after studying psychology and economics and then worked in international consumer brand marketing for a subsidiary of Unilever Germany from 1987 to 1989. From 1989 to 2005, he worked as a consultant at international management consultancy Droege & Comp., where he set up a center of competence for financial services and spent more than ten years advising almost all of Germany’s leading banks and a number of insurance companies, first as a partner and later as a senior partner. Since 2006 he has pursued a career as a freelance business consultant through Roland Adams Top Management Consulting, based in Düsseldorf.
Roland Adams has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Hypoport SE, and its Vice-Chairman, since 2015.
He is considered an independent member under the definition provided in clauses C.6 to C.12 of the German Corporate Governance Code.
