Mike Riopel serves as the Assistant General Counsel for Real Estate Investments at Northwestern Mutual, overseeing a substantial portfolio and advising on legal matters related to real estate investment activities. In addition to this role, Mike chairs the Advisory Board of the Marquette University Vieth Institute for Real Estate Leadership and has served in leadership positions with NAIOP, including chairing the Research Foundation's Industry Trends Meeting. Mike is also a member of the "I Have A Dream" Foundation's Housing Committee, focusing on education opportunities for under-resourced children, and is a director on the Board of the Marquette Business Alumni Association. Previously, Mike held legal and management roles at Husch Blackwell and Wangard Partners, where extensive experience in real estate finance and development was gained. Mike holds degrees in Business Administration and Law from Marquette University.
