Piyush Waradkar

Piyush Waradkar currently serves as an AI Developer at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) since July 2025. Previously, Piyush was a Data Scientist at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where a Python-based spatio-temporal analytics platform was developed for modeling movement patterns and implementing deep learning models to enhance game strategy insights. At Cequence Security, machine learning models were devised and deployed to detect automated threats, alongside the automation of ETL pipelines to improve data ingestion speed. As a Teaching Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Piyush developed assignments that boosted student engagement and managed data analysis for curriculum adjustments. A role as a Data Analyst at Excelerate involved implementing predictive analytics to optimize marketing strategies, while earlier experience as a Software Engineer at Persistent Systems focused on scalable data workflows and CI/CD pipeline optimization. Piyush holds a Master of Science in Data Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Goa Engineering College.
