Ann O'Connell currently serves as the Head of Funded Projects for MedTech and Engineering at Ibec, leading key projects within the MedTech and manufacturing sectors since September 2019. Prior to this, Ann held the position of European Program Manager at Irish Manufacturing Research, where leadership over international cross-functional teams and securing funding for outreach initiatives were instrumental. Ann's experience also includes serving as Programme Manager at Advanced Materials Ireland, focusing on EU funding and research capabilities, as well as coordinating activities for NanoNet Ireland at Tyndall National Institute. Ann’s academic background consists of a PhD in Nanotechnology from University College Dublin, complemented by extensive technical and project management experience in various roles at Intel Corporation.
