Pieter began their career at ENGIE Electrabel in 2002, working in various roles related to energy trading, marketing, sales, and sourcing. Pieter then moved to Iberdrola Engineering and Construction in 2008, where they focused on contracts, sales, and procurement. In 2012, they transitioned to Iberdrola, assuming the role of Senior Procurement Manager. Pieter later became the Global Head of Renewable Generation Equipment Procurement.
