Avishek Malla

Avishek Malla serves as the Energy Intervention Manager and Energy Specialist at ICIMOD since August 2021. Previously, Avishek held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Director of Engineering and Operations at SunFarmer from March 2014 to August 2021. Avishek has also worked as a Renewable Energy Finance Expert for the Asian Development Bank, contributing to financial and economical models for decentralized renewable energy projects. Early career experiences include roles at the Government of Nepal's Alternative Energy Promotion Center and Gham Power, among others. Avishek's educational background includes a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Kathmandu University, a Master's in Renewable Energy, a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy, Environment and Sustainability, and a Diploma in Management, all from Murdoch University.
