Kabir Uddin is a seasoned GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development since July 2006, with notable contributions in land cover mapping and environmental monitoring for the HKH region and transboundary landscapes. Key achievements include the development of annual land cover maps for multiple countries, high-resolution tree crown mapping, and creating a flood inundation monitoring system that supported regional response efforts. Former roles as GIS Expert at the Local Government Engineering Department and Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Development Design Consultants saw competency in spatial data management, analysis, and project reporting. Kabir Uddin holds a Master’s degree in Geography and Environmental Study from Rajshahi University, obtained in 1999.
