Brian Lay

Brian Lay is Managing Director and founder of Icon Projects. Mr. Lay, age 40, oversees the strategic direction, client interaction and staff of the Macau based, construction firm.

He has ultimate responsibility for the business development, operations and construction activity spanning high-end FOH casino, hotel, retail, food and beverage, and specialty fit-out projects within Macau.

Brian has extensive international construction experience, having managed multi-million dollar projects in Macau, China; Sydney, Australia; and Ontario, Canada. A builder/carpenter by trade with a Certificate 3 in General Construction from TAFE, NSW, Australia, Brian has accumulated over 20 years’ experience in the building and construction industry. Brian is knowledgeable in cost and risk management, value engineering, bidding and negotiation, government and civil projects, business development, and best practice methodologies.
