Matt is a Senior Vice President on the Cleantech & Sustainability PR team and will be using his past experience as a financial reporter to help develop engaging story ideas and garner positive press coverage for clients. For the past 12 years, Matt has run his own PR and IR practice out of Greenwich, CT. Matt is bringing his clients to ICR, including Pattern Energy, a leader in wind and solar energy, and BBAM, one of the world’s largest aircraft leasing companies.
Throughout his career, Matt has advised more than 60 companies and worked on numerous IPOs, M&A and take-private transactions. He has managed a wide array of crisis and special situations. As the head of communications and investor relations at Babcock & Brown, he created an extensive crisis communications plan designed to protect the Company’s image and value of its assets totaling $80 billion after a series of internationally-publicized events lead to its liquidation.
Matt has served as the in-house head of communications for both public and private companies. He has also worked at several agencies, including Financial Dynamics (FD), FTI Consulting, and Morgen-Walke Associates. Early on in his career, Matt was a reporter and financial TV news producer that toiled in the NYC newsrooms of ABC, Bloomberg, and MarketWatch. He holds a master’s in business and economic reporting from NYU.
