Charlene D'Monte currently serves as the Manager for Strategic Engagement and Communications at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) since May 2023, where responsibilities include leading strategic communications and public outreach initiatives aimed at promoting STEM engagement among underrepresented communities. Previously, Charlene held the position of Marketing Manager Acquisition at Curtin University from March 2019 to May 2023, overseeing marketing for domestic recruitment in the Science and Engineering Faculty. Charlene's extensive experience in marketing includes roles such as Marketing Manager at Seven West Media, Brand Manager at Chicken Treat Australia, and Marketing Director at News Corp Australia, among others, illustrating a robust background in campaign execution, stakeholder management, and partnership development. Charlene holds a MicroMasters® in Marketing in a Digital World and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing & Public Relations from Curtin University.

The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) is a collaborative centre based in Perth, Western Australia. Already achieving research excellence in astronomical science and engineering, ICRAR has grown steadily since its launch in September 2009. An equal joint venture between Curtin University and The University of Western Australia, with funding from the West Australian State Government (Office of Science), ICRAR has strong support from the Australian government and is working closely with research and industry partners throughout Australia and the world.
