Rockwell McGellin is a seasoned professional in science communication and digital content creation, currently serving as a Digital Content Coordinator at ICRAR since June 2023. Prior to this role, Rockwell worked as a Communications Officer at the Space Science and Technology Centre at Curtin University, overseeing the BinarX high school space program, which involved launching student-designed payloads to space and documenting the process on YouTube. Previous experience includes positions as a STEM Content Creator at Scitech, where Rockwell produced content for various platforms, and as an Educational Technologist at The University of Western Australia, focusing on technology in teaching and developing educational resources. Rockwell began a career at Scitech as a Planetarium Presenter and Science Presenter, engaging the public with interactive science experiences. Rockwell holds a Master of Science in Science Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies/Linguistics from The University of Western Australia.

The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) is a collaborative centre based in Perth, Western Australia. Already achieving research excellence in astronomical science and engineering, ICRAR has grown steadily since its launch in September 2009. An equal joint venture between Curtin University and The University of Western Australia, with funding from the West Australian State Government (Office of Science), ICRAR has strong support from the Australian government and is working closely with research and industry partners throughout Australia and the world.
