Katie Farrell

Katie Farrell, FCAS, MAAA, currently serves as Chief Actuary and Policyholder Services Director at SIF, Idaho Workers' Compensation since June 2020, where leadership includes managing a team of over 70 employees and improving staff retention through an inclusive culture. Prior roles include Chief Actuary at SIF, where Katie implemented a new data approach to reserves and rates, and conducted peer review actuarial consultant reserve studies presented to the executive team. Previous experience includes Managing Director at Guy Carpenter, where collaboration provided reinsurance and Enterprise Risk Management solutions, and Actuary roles at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and Nationwide Insurance, focusing on pricing tools and underwriting support. Katie holds a BA in Mathematics and Actuarial Science from Oglethorpe University.
