Louisa Barker

Louisa Barker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in government insights and urban resilience. Currently serving as a Senior Research Manager at IDC since April 2021, Louisa focuses on national governments and technologies, as well as smart sustainable cities. Prior to IDC, Louisa was a Research Manager at the World Bank Group from January 2016 to April 2021, working as an Urban Resilience Consultant on projects in the Caribbean and East Africa. Louisa also held positions such as Disaster Risk Management Consultant for GFDRR, Head of Research for Lensational, and has contributed as a Researcher at University College London and a Research Analyst at Future Cities Catapult. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Urban Studies from UCL and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Durham University.
