Design driven and passionate about typography, Kara never settles for visual appeal alone. She gets elbow deep into content, information architecture, hierarchy, and UX to ensure a project is functional as well as beautiful. She thrives on meeting tough project challenges, and inspires her team to do the same.
Kara finds creative inspiration in the fresh perspectives afforded by travel and nature. An admitted news junkie, she “resets her brain” from design problems and world problems by hiking.
Kara came to IOP with more than a decade of experience and a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. She was born in Missouri but lived in five states before now calling Brooklyn home.
