Patrick Brown is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement and leadership development. Currently serving as a Community Engagement Specialist at ideas42 since September 2021, Patrick previously held significant roles including Senior Consultant and Director of Leadership Development at The Justice Collective, and Leadership Academy Director at The Greenlining Institute. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Board Co-Chair at East Bay Meditation Center and Board President at Rising Sun Energy Center. Patrick's background also includes positions as a Fellow/Trainer for the Green for All Fellowship and Environmental Health and Safety Training Manager at both self-employment and OAI, inc. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a Minor in Environmental Science from DePaul University, complemented by studies at Lawrence University from 1993 to 1995.

ideas42 is a design and research lab that uses behavioral economics to address complex social problems. ideas42 was established in 2008 by Sendhil Mullainathan of Harvard University, Antoinette Schoar of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Simeon Djankov, then of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group, EldarShafir of Princeton University, Jeffrey Kling of the Brookings Institution, and Michael Kremer of Harvard University.At ideas42 we look at everything – including our own internal processes — through a behavioral lens. We approach our work with a spirit of generosity, but we retain a sense of playfulness that helps to drive our creativity.
