Rick Jackson

Rick Jackson is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in broadcasting, currently serving as Senior Host and Producer at Ideastream (WVIZ PBS & WCPN NPR) since March 2003. Notable programs hosted include "The Sound of Ideas" (2020-present) and "NewsDepth" (2004-present). Previous roles include anchoring at CBS News and WOIO-TV, as well as reporting at various networks. Rick's journalism career began as a reporter at WTRF TV, evolving through multiple positions in prominent media outlets. Rick holds a degree in Communications/Journalism from Bethany College and has a strong foundation in the field from early education at Shady Side Academy and St. Edmund's Academy.
