Xusheng Yu

Xusheng Yu is an experienced Industrial Designer II at Ideum since July 2023, focusing on designing custom hardware for museums and immersive experiences globally, such as the Space Needle in Seattle. Prior to this role, Xusheng served as an Experience Designer and Orientation Captain at The New School, where responsibilities included orchestrating orientation processes for over 2,500 new students and training 40 orientation leaders. With a comprehensive background in design and engineering, Xusheng has held various roles from project management in mechanical engineering capstone projects at the University of Alberta to internships at CAM Design Co and NOVA Chemicals, showcasing skills in 3D modeling, augmented reality, and database automation. Xusheng's educational credentials include an MFA in Industrial Design from Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
