Bill Gillett

Bill Gillett is an experienced optical systems professional with a career spanning several roles and companies. Currently serving as an Adjunct Teaching Assistant at Monroe Community College since January 2022, Bill introduces students to optical assembly and testing techniques. Prior to this, Bill spent nearly two decades at IDEX Health & Science, LLC - Melles Griot, where roles included Engineering Technician, Optical Assembly Supervisor, Senior/Lead Optical Assembler III, among others. Bill’s expertise encompasses the assembly of complex optical systems, precision measurements, and employee training. Previous experience includes positions at Lenscrafters, Corning Tropel Corporation, CooperVision, and a foundation in customer service at McDonald's. Bill holds a TWI Job Instruction Training Certification and a NYS Regents Diploma.
