Chengappa Munjandira, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise since February 2010, leading the deployment and validation of Telco vRAN offerings while collaborating with global teams. Prior roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise include Specialist focused on NFV architecture, Software Designer overseeing network functions virtualization, and SW Engineer managing billing and mediation portfolios. As Vice Chair of Industry & Open/IEEE Standards at IEEE Bangalore Section, Chengappa leads initiatives in technology outreach and sustainable development. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Virtualization and Cloud Computing and a Master of Philosophy in Computer Science, alongside degrees in Computer Applications and Secondary Schooling from reputable institutions.

IEEE BANGALORE SECTION

IEEE Bangalore was established in 1977 and is one of the most vibrant Sections in India. Over the years, the strength of the section has grown steadily, and currently, the Section membership stands close to 20K members. This membership is spread across various sectors and is a nice blend of Industry, Academia, and Research organizations. Bangalore Section has 29 Society Chapters and two affinity groups. The chapters carry out focused activities in the respective areas by conducting technical talks under DLT, seminars, tutorials, workshops, etc. Apart from the Chapters, two affinity groups, viz. the Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) and Women In Engineering (WIE), also carry out related activities. IEEE Bangalore and IEEE Princeton and Central New Jersey Sections had signed a MoU as sister sections.
