Joseph Levine

Joseph Levine is an accomplished Senior Copy Editor at IEEE Spectrum since January 2004, leading the copydesk for the publication that won the 2012 National Magazine Award for General Excellence in the Thought Leader category. Prior to this role, Levine worked as a freelance copy editor for notable publications such as Consumer Reports, InStyle, TV Guide, and Us Weekly from January 2002 to December 2003. Levine also served as Copy Chief at Time Inc. from November 2000 to December 2001, contributing to the special post-9/11 issue of Time magazine and its subsequent regular editions. From 1993 to 2000, Levine was a Senior Copy Editor at PC Magazine, after earning a BA in English with a theater concentration from the University of Chicago.
