Richard Tong

Richard Tong currently serves as Chair of the IEEE Artificial Intelligence Standards Committee and holds the position of Chief Architect at Squirrel AI Learning by Yixue Group since 2016. Previously, Richard worked as Principal Architect at Carnegie Learning and Head of Implementation Greater China at Knewton, overseeing technology implementations for the Knewton Adaptive Platform. Richard has also held the role of Director of Solution Architecture at Amplify Education, managing several innovative Ed-tech projects, and served as Director of Distribution and Data Solutions at PR Newswire. As a co-founder and CTO of Heng Zhun Technology, Richard led initiatives in IPTV and multimedia advertisement, collaborating with notable clients such as Microsoft and CCTV. Earlier experience includes management in enterprise software engineering at Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services. Richard holds a Master's Degree in Finance and Economics from The University of Alabama and a BA in International Finance from Renmin University of China.
