Dr. Luciana Starks has extensive experience in communications and marketing roles. Dr. Luciana most recently served as the Director of Executive Communications for IEHP, where they were responsible for maximizing the impact and voice of the CEO and executive team through various communication channels. Prior to that, they held the role of Director of Communications and Marketing, where they guided the development of strategic communication and marketing plans. Dr. Starks also has experience in managerial positions, overseeing strategic communications and marketing for organizations such as the Inland Empire Health Plan and City of Hope. Additionally, they have experience in academia, serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at California Baptist University and as a Faculty member at the University of Phoenix. Earlier in their career, they worked in communications and marketing roles for Kaiser Permanente and Scott & White Health Plan.
Dr. Luciana Starks obtained their Doctorate Degree in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University (2006-2010). Dr. Luciana also holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University (1998-2000) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State University, Long Beach (1993-1998). In addition, they hold a Community College Teaching Certificate from California State University-Dominguez Hills. Dr. Starks is also certified in Community College Teaching.
