Leona L. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the healthcare and finance sectors. Leona began their career as an Accountant/Auditor II at the County of Orange in 2003, where they performed internal control audits and handled cash handling procedures. Leona then joined the Defense Contract Audit Agency as an Auditor, GS 9, in 2004, conducting a range of audits and achieving notable success in recouping unallowable costs. In 2005, Leona transitioned to L.A. Care Health Plan, where they served as a Financial Compliance Supervisor, Senior Financial Compliance Analyst, Internal Auditor, Finance Analytics Project Manager, and Healthcare Analytics Manager over the course of several years. Leona'sresponsibilities included overseeing audits and financial analysis, managing encounter data activities, developing policies and procedures, and supporting strategic decision-making through data analysis. Since 2016, Leona has been with IEHP as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and currently serves as the Senior Director of Operational Finance. In their current role, they lead multiple functional teams, oversees financial utilization reports, and guides the organization's annual budget process.

Leona L. attended Pepperdine Graziadio Business School from 2006 to 2008, but did not complete a degree or have a specific field of study listed.
