Marcelo Burciaga has a significant amount of experience in the medical field. In 2012, they joined Concentra as a Staff Physician, where they continued to diagnose and treat patients in an Industrial Medicine/Urgent Care setting. In the same year, they also took on the role of Associate Medical Director at IEHP, partnering with hospitalist physicians and reviewing outpatient medical service requests. Their most recent position is as a Medical Director at IEHP, where they provide leadership in Delegation Oversight and is involved in negotiations and regulatory aspects of the organization.

Marcelo Burciaga obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Claremont McKenna College in the years 1987 to 1991. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences, which they completed in 2003. In 2009, Marcelo gained Board Certification in Family Medicine, and in 2013, they obtained certification as a Medical Review Officer from the American Association of Medical Review Officers.
