Richard Fleig has over 24 years of work experience, holding various roles in facilities management, engineering, and project development. Richard is currently the Senior Director of Facilities at IEHP since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at City of Hope as the Director of Facilities Engineering and Enterprise Lifecycle Management from October 2017 to June 2022. Richard also had a significant tenure at Harris Corporation, where they served as the DSN Facilities Development and Design/Operations Engineering Manager from October 2013 to November 2017, and as the Facilities Operations Engineering Manager from November 2010 to October 2013. Richard has previous experience as a Facilities Project Engineer at URS Corporation from September 2009 to November 2010. Before that, they worked as the Chief Engineer at Kaiser Permanente from 2004 to 2006. Richard started their career as a Principle Applications Engineer at Enginuity Technologies from 2000 to 2004 and Hatch & Kirk Engineering from 1998 to 2000.
Richard Fleig obtained a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business/Project Management from the University of Phoenix from 2007 to 2009. Richard also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (BSB/M) degree in the same field from the University of Phoenix between 2004 and 2007. Additionally, they received a certification in Project Management from the University of Phoenix in 2008-2009 and a Green Belt Six Sigma certification from Villanova University in 2005-2006. Richard also holds several additional certifications, including Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) from the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals obtained in May 2016 and Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute obtained in August 2009.
