Chaitanya Akunuri

Chaitanya Akunuri is a seasoned quantitative developer with extensive experience in the financial sector, currently employed at IEX since March 2021. Prior to this role, Chaitanya served as Vice President of Quantitative Research at BMO Capital Markets, leading a research team focused on developing and analyzing quantitative trading signals for equity markets in the US and Canada. Chaitanya also held the position of Assistant Vice President at Clearpool Group, contributing to the development and analysis of quantitative trading algorithms. Early career experiences include a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Columbia University and a Quantitative Trading Analyst position at Sensus Investment Management, where Chaitanya built a Trade Automation Engine and developed profitable trading strategies. Chaitanya's career began at Deloitte in Cyber Risk Services, where responsibilities included designing and developing technology solutions for enterprise security. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Operations Research from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
