One of the biggest and most traditional sports brands in Finland, IFK Helsinki was founded in 1897 and has played top tier ice hockey in Finland for almost 60 years. The club has won seven national championships, the latest one coming in 2011 and the club is one of the most popular sports teams in Finland.

Since 2001, IFK Helsinki has been operated by parent company Oy HIFK-Hockey Ab, which also owns an eSports team Helsinki REDS, founded in 2016.
